Key Duties and Responsibilities • Assist the head of the department to manage the department as well as getting involved with various ongoing projects within the business • Provide training to staff where a need is identified • Perform research in developments within the industry and disseminate the information to the department • Identify improvements to processes and controls to improve efficiencies and to manage risk • Monitor clients and processes to ensure we meet service standards • Identify and investigate anomalies • Identify projects to be completed within the business and manage or perform these as required • Assist with development and testing of system development and changes • Interact with other areas within the Employee Benefits departments • Build relationships between departments in the Company’s Group Qualifications • Recently qualified CA(SA) • Past experience in employee benefits administration or audits of retirement funds • Good understanding of control processes and the management of risk • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (MSWord, Excel, Powerpoint) • Experience with the SARS e-filing and E@syfile applications will be beneficial Key Competencies • Good inter-personal skills • Ability to work individually as well as in a team • Ability to research a problem and identify the best course of action • Good analytical/ problem-solving skills • Proactive individual, who is willing take responsibility and accountability for allocated tasks • Great at aligning performance for success • Not afraid of taking ownership
