Position Name: HEAD OF FIDUCIARY SERVICES

Job Purpose

To provide world-class fiduciary services in terms of quality, cost and client satisfaction and the transfer of knowledge throughout the business. Strategies are developed with unusual thoroughness and self-discipline. The basis of such strategies is economic value added.

 

To achieve business excellence by making and executing the following strategies, namely Corporate, Information, Technology, Organisational, Operational and Changes

 

Staff Development

People management, including staff satisfaction, morale, attrition, development, recruitment and Employment Equity. Talent management, Leadership development and Feedback Surveys

Business Operations and Finance

Shortening cycle times, cost control, improving quality and efficiencies, process mapping, profit improvement programmes, analysis of financial and ratios, aligning information technology to strategy, services and processes.

Client Management

Principal CRM for selected eminent individual clients, managing relationships with key individual corporate representatives, executive consulting providing advice in complex matters, arranging for client complaints to be actioned, managing relationships up, down and sideways in group divisions.

New Business and Collaboration

Exploring channels and networks, creating new channels and service/product offerings, exploiting service offerings e.g. BEE Scheme Administration, contributing to and participating in acquisition strategies.

Risk and Compliance

Member of The Company’s PC Operational Risk Committee (ORCO), chairman of Fiduciary ORCO, liaison with internal Auditors and monitoring agreed action execution, contribute to annual risk assessments, identify and regularly monitor all key risks and indicators.

Essential Qualifications

 Accounting or Law Degree

Preferred Qualifications

Institute of Bankers Trustee Diploma, FPI Certified Financial Planner, Post graduate qualification

Certifications

Association of Trust Companies in S.A., Chartered Accountants S.A., Financial Planning Institute

Job Related Experience

15 years relative experience

Required Industry Acumen

Trust Company/Board of Executors, Law/ Accounting Practise

 

Responsibilities

  • Optimally translating and implementing the integrated Private Bank strategy
  •  Business plan and value proposition at regional level
  • Build and grow the region into a long term profitable and sustainable business
  •  Manage the integration of the operational execution
  •  Meet financial and sales targets
  •  Provide guidance and coaching to Regional Managers
  •  Formulate appropriate client strategies acquisition
  •  Continually entrench and create opportunities for cross  divisional networking and alignment and in so doing optimize the value chain, eg. leadership forums; logistical and operational management of the region
