Equity Analyst (Property)

Role Overview
Our client is specialist boutique asset management company who is now seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst with 2–5 years of relevant experience to join our South African listed property investment team. The
successful candidate will support portfolio managers through detailed security analysis, financial modelling, research coverage, client reporting, and trade execution.

Key Responsibilities
● Conduct in-depth fundamental research on SA listed property companies.
● Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and valuations.
● Monitor company results, announcements, trading updates, and sector news.
● Perform ESG-related research and integrate insights into investment recommendations.
● Attend company management meetings and analyst presentations.
● Provide analytical support to portfolio managers on investment decisions.
● Assist with trade execution and broker interaction.
● Contribute to attribution analysis, performance reporting, and quantitative assessments.
● Prepare client reports, commentary, and presentations.
● Support new business development through preparation of pitchbooks and
due-diligence materials.

Minimum Qualifications
● Commerce or Finance degree, CA(SA), CFA or equivalent
Experience Requirements
● 2–5 years’ experience in investment research, financial modelling, corporate finance,
audit, or related fields.
● Exposure to the real estate/REIT sector beneficial.

Technical Skills
● Advanced Excel skills.
● Strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
● Sound understanding of accounting, finance, capital markets, and valuation principles.
