Our client a Top Flight Asset Management Company with a global presence has a need for a skilled and experienced Property Analyst to join their investment team. The incumbent will make decisions on dedicated property funds and multi-asset funds. This role is focused on recruiting a suitable skilled BEE candidate with the relevant expertise
Requirements
– An appropriate tertiary education (B. Com or B. Bus.Sc or other business degree, CFA, engineering degree and/or CA(SA) qualifications will be advantageous)
– Maintain research tools for use by the analyst and portfolio management teams
– Demonstrable enthusiasm and passion for investments
– An ability to synthesise masses of economic, industry and company information, and to effectively analyse this and formulate an investment case
– An ability to present information and investment ideas effectively in oral and written form
– Strong ability to critically analyse data and financial statements and maintain excel spreadsheets
Responsibilities:
– To research and conduct thorough financial analysis of listed companies on the JSE (with an initial focus on Listed Property) with a view to taking valuation based active positions
– Maintain company models and continuously update with new information and results
– Provide support to Portfolio Managers and assist in assimilating data and performing ad-hoc tasks
– Engage with company management to interrogate company results, strategy, transactions and outlook as well as engaging with industry professionals with a view to obtain more knowledge about the relevant sector
– Liaise with client servicing teams on any requirements for client reporting, and assist with client engagements in written and oral format
