Our client is looking for an experienced Fund Accountant to join their consulting firm to take on the role of Business Support Consultant,. The company offers bespoke solutions to Asset Management companies, pertaining to the running of Front, Middle and Back-office solutions

This role forms part of the “face of the company” and takes responsibility as the first point of call for all clients

The responsibilities include:
• Ensure that clients are utilising the software in the best possible way and highlight additional module utilisation wherever it may be beneficial. Receive requests from clients and ensure that they are followed through to completion within the agreed SLA. Confidently conduct client meetings and ensure that accurate minutes are maintained
• Work within a team to recognise specific areas of strength and weakness to ensure that assistance is provided to colleagues where required and gained when needed
• Monitor progress of any product bugs or enhancement requests from clients and ensure that all interested parties are kept informed at all times
• Liaise with development staff to ensure that client priorities are attended to under the agreed and communicated timeframes
• Testing and analysing the product to ensure that the quality is maintained to the highest of standards

Qualifications:
• Degree with exposure to IT, Finance, Maths, Stats or Accounting is preferable

Skills/Competencies and experience:
• Back office investment experience

Key Competencies:
• As a Business Support Consultant, you will be responsible for providing functional expertise to the Portfolio Manager end-users. The role requires an in-depth knowledge of the product, as well as being able to adapt to functional roles between QA and Support
• Consultants need to exhibit a broad level of competence and are required to gain a thorough understanding of system functionality and client business processes. It is particularly important to understand client requirements and the way in which they utilise the software as well as the market/s in which they operate
• The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and liaise with a variety of clients both internally and externally at all seniority levels
• It is important to be able to categorise and prioritise development requirements across the entire client base and understand the impact and severity of functional and technical changes
• Consultants should be able to demonstrate specific software functionality at any given time

The role would suit a Fund Accountant who has diverse experience gained in a few different types of Back-office environments, who therefore has insight into the nature of these systems and can offer understanding and insight into efficient ways to run systems.
