Purpose of the Role:

Perform the function of an Implementation Analyst with the view of training up a support/back-up resource.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of portfolio manager trade instructions as required across all asset classes
  • Ensure fair allocations across client portfolios
  • Managing the multiple portfolio manager structure
  • Monitoring the performance of the trading function
  • Regular reporting to portfolio managers and business on portfolio positioning and trading activity
  • Regular detailed analysis of portfolio manager portfolios, assist in maintaining alignment across funds, managing cash exposure to acceptable levels
  • Monitoring of asset allocation against targets, suggesting trades where necessary
  • Perform all necessary calculations to facilitate take-on and take-off of assets and any other transitions that require trading
  • Knowledge and application of compliance rules and internal investment rules, pre-emptively flag trades that may result in breaches
  • Improve trading processes, increase efficiency and reduce potential for trading errors
  • Managing the front office system

Skills Required:

  • Oversight of portfolio data, data feeds and data integration across the various systems
  • Ensuring that the data is correct and available to meet the needs of the business
  • Annual assessment of the appropriateness of the data feeds and licenses
  • Using knowledge of the data and systems to build value-add reports
