JOB DESCRIPTION | KEY PURPOSE
Acting as an Accountant/Operations Specialist for the Company across its different product offerings and subsidiaries
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare and reconcile appropriate Management Accounting information for the Company, subsidiary and group companies.
2. Assist with review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounting for all of the unlisted SPV structures (management accounts and AFS).
3. Financial Statement Preparation and liaison with the external auditors for Group Companies, subsidiaries and SPV’s and timely completion of external audits.
4. Review of subsidiary and business unit performance against budget.
5. Assist the Financial Manager with implementing adequate internal control and a functional risk environment.
6. Ensure all tax submissions for Income Tax, Dividend Tax, VAT etc. are prepared and submitted for all subsidiary companies and SPVs
7. Responsible for monitoring and managing the cashflow of the subsidiaries including the monthly and ad hoc payment of suppliers.
8. Preparation of annual budgets of subsidiary entity for approval by Board and Exco.
9. Responsible for Day-to-day IT management including management of IT Service provider and resources.
10. Assist with IT risk management and controls review.
11. Provide support with various projects and business initiatives e.g. new fund launches, new legislation, changes to regulatory and tax environments, etc.
12. Assist with project management across the accounting and operations functions of the Company and its subsidiaries.
13. Assist in managing the relationship with the various data suppliers to ensure tasks per agreed projects are achieved.
14. Assist IT & HR with onboarding and offboarding of employees.
15. Management of office facilities, including but not limited to premises, lease agreements, interactions with landlord, contractor and supplier management, supplier contracts, and purchasing of office equipment.
16. To assist in any other responsibilities that the Managing Director, the Chief Financial Officer or Financial Manager may assign to the employee.

12. ADVANCED knowledge of MS Excel
13. Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, coordination, and execution
14. Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Caseware advantageous)
EDUCATION
• B. Comm (Honours) or equivalent accounting degree
• Accountant with articles or incomplete articles
• Other relevant qualifications will be considered
