Responsibilities:
The Investment Analytics role is a diverse role suiting an enquiring and technically strong candidate who has a keen interest in investments. The role spans the business and provides support to a variety of stakeholders. Our business covers local and offshore investing, presenting a great opportunity to develop expertise across a wide array of areas.
Description:
Providing analytical research support in three key areas: (a) Across Fund Research services where the company covers local and offshore funds. (b) In support of internal investment decision making (c) In support of investment consulting research on behalf of clients
Maintenance of all analytical reporting for the SA business: (a) Creation and maintenance of analytical reports covering funds, portfolios and other investment related items. (b) Performance monitoring and analysis (c) Attribution Analysis on individual funds and fund of funds (d) Risk Management (e) Portfolio Construction
Developing research insight in the Analytics function (a) Research projects (b) Documentation and report writing (c) Presentation to the Fund Research and Investment Committees.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Financial or technically oriented degree (e.g. Engineering) B. Bus. Sci, B. Com, B. Sc -Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Maths / Stats specialisation
- Experience: 3 years ideal Skills & Competencies-Enquiring mind -Analytical/ Technically strong, Numerate, Attention to detail, Pro-active, Strong communication and presentation skills, Data management,
- Personality: Insightful, Diligent, Client-centric, engaging, Ambitious, Self-motivated.
- Systems: Relevant financial services systems: Bloomberg, Refinitive (Reuters), Morningstar, Statpro, FE, BARRA -Database systems/ data warehouse systems -Strong/Advanced Microsoft Excel
