A great opportunity has opened up for an experienced Trade Assistant who has gained experience in a Stockbrokering environment. This role will encompass many of the administrative fucntions that pivot around the trading activities of a Stockbrokering business – the ideal candidate will need to have experience gained in a similar environment. The position is based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town and is reserved for a BEE candidate.
The position involves the following:
- Preparation of investment forms & instructions
- Load EMX trades for approval
- Capturing of transfer instructions on ABSA Global and CMS applications for approval
- Monitoring & clearing transactions on bank recons
- Forward instructions to CST & ensure the execution thereof
- Verify and update executed trades into spiPod application
- Monitoring of updated trades against trade confirmations received
- Investigate & Clear import exceptions
- Monitor daily reports
- Updating of transactions into the Portia application
- Update applicable departmental spreadsheets
- Reconciliations
- Assist with month end duties (fees / invoices etc)
- Assist with enquiries from branch and Ad Hoc projects as required
Qualification & experience
Tertiary qualification (with Finance/ Accounts) will be advantageous
- Experience within financial services industry is essential
- Financial Service / Stockbroking experience beneficial
- Basic understanding of the Private Client business and the stock-broking environment
